For the sixteenth year, CTSB has filmed the Fall Festival of Shakespeare, recording productions of Shakespearean plays by high school students from around the Berkshires.  For the first time ever we recorded directly to a digital medium, allowing for instant playback in the atrium after the show and superb picture fidelity.  We are pleased to make these recordings available to you on DVD and VHS cassettes.

To order, download the order form, fill it out and mail it back to us at CTSB.  Orders received by December 10th will be mailed out by December 19th.

Ten Things You can Do

Across the country and here in Massachusetts, efforts are underway to radically restructure the process by which franchise agreements are made.  Franchise agreements are the contacts between televisions providers and the towns they serve.   These agreements also include language in support of Public Access Television, which we believe is a valuable community resource.

Legislation, backed by Verizon, has been submitted to the Massachusetts legislature which would have seriously detrimental effects.  It would remove local control from the franchising process and slash funding for Public Access Television--an action that will likely result in the closing of access centers across the Commonwealth and the severe limiting of community services at those that remain open.

For more information on why this is important and what action you can take please take a moment to look at the following:

Please contact us at CTSB if you are interested in helping at the local level.  Thank you.

Cable Renewal Contract

There has been interest expressed by members of our community to view the renewal agreement between the towns that CTSB serves and the cable provider.  These are public documents, but can be difficult to track down.   Here is the contract for the town of Lee.  Contracts for Stockbridge, Great Barrington, and Lenox are almost identical, with only small differences.

CTSB will be providing a document section on this website with links to other documents relevant to CTSB and the towns we serve.  Please check back for that.
